College Basketball: Louisville coach Rick Pitino kept his promise to his team if they won the national championship, he would get a tattoo. Pitino has a tattoo on his back on the left shoulder which has the old English “L”, and has National Champions, 35-3, 2013. The photo of the tattoo was placed on Twitter this morning by U of L sports information director Kenny Klein.
NFL: It’s day two of the 2013 draft in New York, with the Jacksonville Jaguars having the first selection of the day. A number of players who were projected to possibly be late first round picks are still on the board including quarterback Geno Smith of West Virginia, quarterback Matt Barkley of Southern Cal and linebacker Mantei Te’o of Notre Dame. Only one signal caller was taken in the first round, with Florida State’s EJ Manuel going to Buffalo.
MLB: Cincinnati continues its series tonight at Washington, St. Louis opens a weekend series with Pittsburgh, Chicago takes on Miami and Atlanta plays Detroit in interleague play.
NBA: Three playoff games are on the schedule this evening. Eastern Conference action has the New York Knicks meeting Boston, with the Knicks leading 2-0. Western Conference action has San Antonio meeting the LA Lakers, with the Spurs leading 2-0 and Denver goes against Golden State, with the series tied 1-1.
