College Football: Could Kentucky have another quarterback coming into its fold? The Palm Beach Post reports Florida State signal caller Clint Trickett is transferring and Kentucky is one of the schools on his list, along with West Virginia and South Florida.
Trickett has completed his Bachelors degree and would be able to play right away. He would have two years of eligibility remaining. In a reserve role in the 2012 season, Trickett completed 22 of 34 passes for 272 yards and no touchdowns in eight games.
College Basketball: The University of Tennessee picked up its fifth basketball signee Thursday. GoVolsxtra.com reports 6-10 center Rawane Ndiaye will come to Knoxville this fall from Indian Hills Community College in Iowa. Ndiaye averaged 2.5 points and 3.5 rebounds in 13 games last season, before missing three months with a foot injury.
Golf: University of Alabama true freshman Emma Talley has been named the Golfweek National and Southeastern Conference Player of the week following her win last Sunday at the Ping/Arizona State University Invitational in Tempe, Arizona.
It was the first career win for the Princeton native and for Alabama, their fifth team victory of the season. Talley has four top 10 individual finishes in eight events, along with two top five showings.
