High School Basketball Boys: Hopkinsville and University Heights meet in an 8th district matchup this evening at Blazer Gym. The Tigers at 20-4 lead the district race with a 5-0 mark, while the Blazers bring an 8-10/1-2 district record into the contest. Tip off at 7:30, with the Heritage Bank pre game show at 7:15 on Newstalk 95.3 FM/1230 AM and online at whopam.com. Other games have Muhlenberg County at Ohio County, Lyon County at Union County, Livingston Central at Reidland. Girls: Christian County meets Hopkinsville for the second time this evening at Colonel Gym. Hopkinsville brings a 12-10/4-0 district record into the game, while Christian County is 4-15/1-3 in district games. Tip off is set for 7:30. Other games have Todd Central at Muhlenberg County, Dawson Springs hosts Hopkins Central, Lyon County at St. Mary, Graves County at Livingston Central and Lone Oak at Cairo, IL. College Basketball: LSU upset 17th ranked Missouri 73-70, with former Christian County standout Anthony Hickey scoring 20 points, 14 of those coming in the second half. Western Kentucky’s Lady Toppers snapped a two game losing streak in defeating Troy 98-80. Tonight’s games: Western Kentucky entertains Troy. Women’s action has Vanderbilt at 16th ranked Texas A&M NFL: San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Randy Moss says he was blackballed when he played with the Tennessee Titans during a half season in 2010. Moss tells the Tennessean a number of the Titans coaches did not like him, but he did have a good relationship with then head coach Jeff Fisher. Moss said there were some things that were going on with the Titans internally, but would not discuss them, saying he wouldn’t likely tell anything until he writes his autobiography. Moss caught only six passes during his brief Titans career. NHL: The Nashville Predators return to the ice this evening against the defending Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles Kings.
