Boys: Christian County lost its third game in a row and fifth in their last 6 games to Warren Central 66-61. Four Colonels were in double figures scoring lead by Korey Mosley with 16 points, Quan Poindexter added 14, CJ Cotton 11 and Jarvis Irby with 10. The Colonels go to 10-11 on the season.

Elsewhere: Hopkinsville defeated Caldwell County 63-54, Trigg County over Stewart County, TN 64-33, Lyon County won over Fort Campbell in overtime 63-58, Russellville over Franklin Simpson 67-59, Community Christian over Dawson Springs 49-38, Henderson County over Union County 59-38, Graves County drilled Paducah Tilghman 81-51, Mayfield over Calloway County 59-48, Bowling Green over South Warren 65-44 and Barren County over Greenwood 87-71.

High School Football: Bluegrass Preps.com announced its 2012 All Bluegrass Preps.com teams Tuesday.

Offense: Area players selected include running back Zack Katzman of Graves County, wide receiver Narcarius Fant of Bowling Green and offensive linemen Hunter Bivin of Apollo and Eli Wilson of Graves County, with Owensboro Catholic’s Houston Ray selected as the kicker.

Defense: Defensive lineman Logan Cart of Owenboro Catholic was selected, along with linebacker Lincoln Quick of Bowling Green and defensive back Darrius Spivey-Nunn of Paducah Tilghman.

Athletes selected include Jonathan Jackson of Mayfield. The player of the year was James Quick of Trinity and Randy Borchers of Cooper High School was named coach of the year.

College Basketball-Tuesday scores

Kyle Wiltjer had a career high 26 points in leading Kentucky to a 87-74 win at Ole Miss. Archie Goodwin added 24 and Alex Poythress had 15 points for the Wildcats and Nerlens Noel blocked a school record 12 shots in the game. Kentucky ended a nine game winning streak for Ole Miss in improving to 14-6/5-2 in the SEC. The Wildcats play again Saturday at Texas A&M.

Tennessee held off a late Vanderbilt rally in beating the Commodores 58-57. The Vols got 19 points and 11 rebounds from Jarnell Stokes. Vandy was led in scoring by Kedren Johnson with 14 points.

Kentucky coach John Calipari has his weekly talk show at 5, followed by Big Blue Weekly at 6 on Lite 98.7.

Tonight’s games: SEC action has LSU taking on 17^th ranked Missouri, Oklahoma State meets Iowa State. Women’s action has Western Kentucky taking on Troy.

College Football: The Courier Journal reports the University of Louisville got another commitment Tuesday. Offensive lineman Cameron Fraser of Phenix City, Alabama chose the Cardinals over South Florida.

NFL: A story first reported last weekend by ESPN concerning former Tennessee football coach Derek Dooley’s employment by the Dallas Cowboys is incorrect. Dooley told a Knoxville radio station Monday he had not agreed to join the team, which was confirmed by the Cowboys Tuesday according to the Knoxville News Sentinel
