High School Basketball:  Tickets for University Heights Academy’s boys Class A State Tournament game against Model at 9 am Thursday in Frankfort are on sale today at the school. The cost is $8 in advance and $10 at the Civic Center.

Tonight’s games

Girls: Hopkinsville hosts Marshall County in a game which tips off at 3:30 this afternoon, Fort Campbell hosts Community Christian, Russellville hosts Clinton County, Madisonville entertains Lyon County, Mayfield at Heath, Graves County goes to Carlisle County.

Boys: Fort Campbell hosts Community Christian, Caldwell County entertains Calloway County, Hopkins Central welcomes Lyon County, Livingston Central travels to Murray.

College Basketball:  Kentucky coach John Calipari’s talk show moves to Wednesday night this week as Kentucky travels to Alabama for a Tuesday night game later today. Calipari’s talk show airs Wednesday at 5, with Big Blue Weekly at 6 on Lite 98.7.

Tonight’s games: Ohio Valley Conference women’s action has Austin Peay hosting SIU Edwardsville and Murray State entertains Eastern Illinois.

Sunday’s women’s scores: Kentucky won its 17th game in a row, defeating Auburn 97-53. Tennessee won for the 39th time over Alabama 96-69 and LSU defeated Vanderbilt 54-51.

NHL: After losing a season opening game to Columbus 3-2 in a shootout Saturday night, the Nashville Predators host St. Louis this afternoon at Bridgestone Arena. Coverage of the game begins at 5 on Newstalk 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP.

PGA Tour: Brian Gay won the Humana Challenge on the second playoff hole over David Lingmerth and Charles Howell III. The trio finished regulation play at 25 under par. Nashville’s Brant Snedeker finished tied for 23rd at 19 under par.

John Cook rallied from a two shot deficit to win the Champion Tour’s season opening Mitsubishi Electric Championship over David Frost in a one hole playoff. Both finished 17 under par in regulation. Franklin’s Kenny Perry was tied for 5th at 13 under, while Paducah’s Russ Cochran finished 7th at 10 under par.
