College Basketball: West Kentucky Star.com reports a plea deal is reportedly in the works for currently suspended Murray State basketball player Zay Jackson. The 20-year-old Jackson faces charges of second degree assault in first degree wanton endangerment in connection with an incident September 10th at the Walmart parking lot in Murray. The Paducah Sun reported Wednesday the plea deal reportedly includes a felony conviction with jail time. Jackson is due back in court February 4th. Top 25 games this evening have 3rd ranked Duke hosting Georgia Tech, 5th ranked Michigan is at 12th ranked Minnesota, 8th ranked Gonzaga at Portland, 9th ranked Florida at Texas A&M, 19th ranked VCU hosts St. Joseph’s, 22nd ranked Illinois hosts Northwestern and 25th ranked UCLA welcomes Oregon State. NFL: The Jacksonville Jaguars have reportedly hired Gus Bradley as their new head coach. ESPN reports Bradley accepted the job this morning. Bradley served as the Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator since 2009. He replaces Mike Mularkey, who was with Jacksonville for just one season, guiding the Jaguars to a disappointing 2-and-14 season. In the last two seasons in Seattle, Bradley's defenses were in the top ten in points allowed. |
