College Basketball: Kentucky plays Eastern Michigan in its final pre conference game of the season this evening. The Wildcats bring an 8-4 record into the contest, while Eastern Michigan is 7-5. Pre game coverage airs at 3:30 this afternoon on Lite 98.7. 4th ranked Louisville is in action this evening hosting Providence. The Courier Journal reports Chane Behanan may not play for the Cards because of the flu. Vanderbilt hosts William and Mary in Memorial Gym. With a win, Coach Kevin Stalling will pass legendary Commodores coach Roy Skinner for the most wins in the 60 years of games played at Memorial Gym. Top 25 action includes #1 Duke meeting Davidson, 7th ranked Syracuse hosts Rutgers, 8th ranked Ohio State entertains Nebraska, 11th rated Creighton is at Illinois State, 14th rated Illinois is at Purdue, 17th ranked San Diego State meets Cal State Bakersfield and 20th ranked Butler hosts Penn. College Football: There’s only one bowl game and it features 21st ranked Louisville meeting 3rd ranked Florida in the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans. Florida has defeated four ranked opponents this season and is making its 7th BCS bowl appearance. Louisville is playing in a BCS bowl for the second time in school history. The teams have played twice before, with Florida winning both games in Gainesville in 1980 and 1992. PGA Tour: Though the weather around these parts is not conducive for golf, the PGA Tour begins the 2013 season tomorrow with the Hyundai Tournament of Champions in Hawaii. Steve Stricker is the defending champion of the event.
