SPORTS UPDATE 11/16/12

College Basketball: Oklahoma State improved to 3-0 on the season with a drubbing 62-45 of Tennessee in the second round of the Puerto Rico Tip off Classic today. Trae Golden had 11 points for the Volunteers and was the only double figure scorer for Tennessee who plays either NC State or UMass in the third place game on Sunday.

It appears Kentucky will not again have guard Ryan Harrow to play this evening when the Wildcats face Lafayette in Rupp Arena. Pre game coverage begins at 4:30 on Lite 98.7.

Murray State is playing its second game in the Charleston Classic this afternoon, meeting St. John’s.

ESPN reports the NCAA is extending the University of Tennessee football program's probation by two more years. The NCAA announced additional penalties against former assistant football coach Willie Mack Garza, who was on former Vols coach Lane Kiffin’s staff in 2009.

NFL: Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler will miss Monday night’s game with San Francisco. Cutler is recovering from a concussion received in last week’s game against Houston. Jason Campbell will get the start. You can hear the game Monday at 7 on Newstalk 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP.

MLB: The ChicagoCubs have finalized a one-year deal with catcher Dioner Navarro. According to the "Chicago Tribune," it's worth 1.75-million-dollars. Navarro played in just 24 games with the Cincinnati Reds last season, spending most of the year with Triple-A Louisville. He hit .290 with two home runs and twelve RBI for the Reds. The 28-year-old was an All-Star with Tampa Bay in 2008.
