College Basketball: For the first time in 11 years, 3rd ranked Kentucky meets 9th ranked Duke in Atlanta’s Georgia Dome this evening. A UK spokesman tells Kentucky Sports Radio.com that guard Ryan Harrow did not travel to Atlanta for the game. Pre game coverage begins at 7 on Lite 98.7. The prelim game in Atlanta will have 7th ranked Kansas meeting 22nd ranked Michigan State. Elsewhere in the top 25 tonight: 14th ranked UCLA meets UC Irvine, 15th ranked Missouri hosts Alcorn State, 23rd ranked San Diego State meets San Diego Christian and 24th ranked Cincinnati hosts Alcorn State. Austin Peay plays at Western Kentucky this evening in the opening round of the Triple Crown Cancun Challenge and in women’s basketball Kentucky travels to top ranked Baylor. Kentucky’s Kyle Wiltjer was honored for his 19 point performance against Maryland as he was named the Southeastern Conference Player of the Week Monday. It’s the first time the sophomore has won the award. Tennessee coach Cuonzo Martin says senior Jeronne Maymon will miss the remaider of the Vols games in November as he suffered a setback in his recovery from arthoscopic knee surgery. Maymon did not play in the Vols season opening victory against Kennesaw State and will not play for the Vols in the Puerto Rico Tip Off against UNC Asheville on Thursday. NFL: ESPN reports a source as saying the shoulder injury suffered by Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Rothlisberger in last night’s 16-13 overtime win over Kansas City could keep him out for a while. Rothlisberger went to a Pittsburgh hospital for an MRI last night and will get another one today to determine the extent of the injury. NBA: Six games are on the schedule this evening including a matchup of two former Kentucky Wildcats, John Wall and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, as the Washington Wizards play at the Charlotte Bobcats.
