Hopkinsville High's football game at Warren Central Friday night will take place at 7 pm, with ticket price $7 across the board. You can hear the game at 6:35 on Newstalk 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP and worldwide at whopam.com. Meanwhile, Christian County's game with Greenwood at the Stadium of Champions will play at 7 pm, but a ticket price has not been set. The game will be heard on Lite 98.7. University Heights golfer Cameron Allen will sign a letter of intent next week to play golf collegiately for Brescia University. The ceremony will take place at 9:45 am Wednesday, November 7th at University Heights Academy. West Kentucky Star.com reports McCracken County High School will announce its coaches for fall sports, including football this afternoon. McCracken County, which opens next year, will play football in Class 6-A. College Football: Western Kentucky defensive lineman Quanterus Smith has been named the Sun Belt Conference defensive player of the week. The senior had a career best five quarterback sacks in the Hilltoppers 14-6 win at Florida International Saturday. Smith leads the nation in sacks with 11 ½. It’s the second time this season Smith has been honored by the league as its defensive player of the week. 10th ranked Louisville boasts the Big East offensive and defensive players of the week. Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater threw for a career high 416 yards in the Cards 34-31 overtime win over Cincinnati. Bridgewater also tossed two fourth quarter touchdowns in the contest. Cardinals linebacker Preston Brown earned defensive honors after a game high 13 tackles in helping the Cardinals improve to 8-0 on the season. College Basketball: Murray State senior Isaiah Cannan has been named to the first team Associated Press pre season All American team. Cannan averaged 19 points last season in leading Murray State to a 31-2 record and a third round appearance in the NCAA tournament. Others on the first team include Cody Zeller of pre season number 1 Indiana, Doug McDermott of Creighton, Deshaun Thomas of Ohio State, CJ McCollum of Lehigh and Trey Burke of Michigan. NFL: Monday Night Football has the NFC West leading San Francisco 49ers playing at division rival Arizona. 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh says the Cardinals will provide a tough test:
