You may be our next winner! College Football: The Lexington Herald Leader says Kentucky is next to last in FBS in 3rd down defense. The Wildcats at number 119 are allowing opponents to convert at over 55%. The new stats also point out Kentucky is 113th in total offense at over 306 yards a game and allowing opponents 415 yards per game which is 77th ranked in the nation. A reminder Coach Joker Phillips has his call in show at 5 this afternoon, followed by Big Blue Weekly at 6 on Lite 98.7. MLB: Game two of the National League Championship Series between St. Louis and San Francisco takes place tonight at AT&T Park. The Cardinals will send Chris Carpenter to the mound, while the Giants counter with Tim Voglesong. First pitch occurs just after 7 this evening. Meanwhile, the American League Championship Series has the day off as Detroit leads New York 2-0. Game three of the series is set for tomorrow. NFL: Monday Night Football has an AFC west showdown as San Diego hosts Denver. You can hear the game beginning at 7 this evening on Newstalk 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP. NHL: Labor talks between the league and its players union will resume tomorrow. The sides met for two days last week with progress made on some small issues. The league has games cancelled currently through October 24th.
