Monday’s High School Sports Schedule Regional tournament action for volleyball and soccer begins today. 2nd region volleyball at Caldwell County: Christian County meets Union County at 6, with Trigg County playing Hopkins Central at 7:30. 2nd region Boys soccer at Henderson County: Henderson County meets Lyon County at 5:30, with Hopkinsville playing Caldwell County at 7 pm. 2nd region Girls soccer at Lyon County: Christian County meets Lyon County at 5:30, with Madisonville going against Union County at 7:30. High School Football The weekly Cantrall rankings are out from Kentucky.com. Trinity is number one again this week, with Bowling Green 4th, Warren Central 7th, Mayfield 14th, Henderson County 15th and Christian County knocked out of the top 25th following their loss to Graves County. Christian County is idle this week, while Hopkinsville hosts Graves County Friday night at 7, with the Heritage Bank pre game show at 6:35 on Newstalk 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP. High School Golf The Kentucky All State teams have been announced with Lydia Gumm of North Hardin named Miss Golf, with Billy Tom Sargent of Scott County named Mr. Golf. Calloway County’s Anna Hack—who won the individual girls state title was selected All State along with Jackie Van Meter of South Warren. No boys from west of I-65 were on the team. College Football: Kentucky coach Joker Phillips has his weekly call in show at 5 this evening, followed by Big Blue Weekly at 6 on Lite 98.7. The Louisville Cardinals have moved up in both major college football polls. The Cards are ranked 14th in the USA Today Coaches Poll and ranked 16th in the Associated Press poll. Alabama remains number one in both polls this week. Western Kentucky received six votes this week in the USA Today poll. NFL: Monday Night Football has Denver meeting San Diego, with coverage of the game at 7 on Newstalk 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP.
