High School Football: The Associated Press has released its weekly polls. Class 5-A: Bowling Green remains first, Warren Central 3rd, Christian County 5th and Greenwood 9th. Class 3-A: Louisville Central is number one, Fort Campbell 6th and Paducah Tilghman 10th. Class 2-A: Owensboro Catholic is still number one, Murray High is 3rd and Caldwell County 10th. Class A: Mayfield remains number one, with Russellville 8th. Class 4-A: Highlands is number one, Warren East 7th and Lone Oak 10th. Class 6-A: Trinity remains first, with Henderson County ranked 7th. College Football: Arkansas has lost its leading tackler for the remainder of the season. Arkansas News.com reports Alonzo Highsmith will be sidelined due to a foot injury which will require surgery. Highsmith was hurt in the first half of the Razorbacks win at Auburn last week. Kentucky is next for Arkansas on Saturday, with pre game coverage at 4:30 on Lite 98.7. Tennessee coach Derek Dooley says there’s a good chance freshman safety LaDarrell McNeil will start against 19th ranked Mississippi State Saturday. The Vols have allowed six touchdown plays of 50 yards or more in its last three games and are trying to find a way to stop big plays. MLB: Two games are on the playoff schedule this afternoon and evening. The Cincinnati Reds can wrap up their series with a win over San Francisco at Great American Ballpark. First pitch is at 4:37 Hopkinsville time. Detroit can wrap up its series with Oakland with a win this evening. The Tigers lead the series 2-0.
