West Kentucky Star.com reports Calloway Commonwealth Attorney Mark Blankenship says he plans to intensify efforts to reach a plea bargain for Murray State basketball player Zay Jackson. Blankenship says his plea offer to Jackson will include conditions of jail time, restitution to the victims and anger management courses. Blankenship says he is concerned a Calloway County jury pool could be affected by comments in the case through social media. Jackson is charged with second degree assault after striking two people with his vehicle in the Walmart parking lot in Murray September 9th. Jackson is scheduled for arraignment October 12th Tennessee Titans quarterback Jake Locker is to undergo an MRI today after injuring his non throwing left shoulder again in Sunday’s 38-14 loss to Houston. Locker suffered the injury in the first quarter and was relieved by Matt Hasselbeck. The Chicago Bears meet the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football tonight at Cowboys Stadium. It’s not known if Bears running back Matt Forte will play this evening as he continues to nurse a sprained right ankle. Coverage of the game begins at 7 on Newstalk 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP. The Indianapolis Colts will be without coach Chuck Pagano for as long as six weeks. ESPN.com reports Pagano is being treated for leukemia and is expected to return to the team later this season. Offensive coordinator Bruce Arians will run the team as interim coach. Major League Baseball tonight has St. Louis hosting Cincinnati, Chicago Cubs host Houston and Atlanta at Pittsburgh.
