Girls 4th region All A Scores: Glasgow defeated Todd Central 67-48 and Monroe County defeated Russellville 63-25.
Girls 2nd region All A: University Heights plays Crittenden County in the second semifinal game at Dawson Springs, with Heritage Bank pre game coverage around 7:40 on Newstalk 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP. The opening game at six has Webster County going against Livingston Central, with the two winners this evening to play in the championship game Saturday night.
Other girls games: Hopkinsville travels to Hopkins Central, St. Mary meets Ballard Memorial in the 1st region All A final, Murray goes against Mayfield.
Boys: Hopkinsville plays at Fort Campbell, Christian County meets New Rochelle, NY in the Toyota Classic at Scott County, Todd Central at Caldwell County, Graves County at South Fulton, TN.
Former Christian County basketball coach Kerry Stovall is one of three Kentucky coaches that received national honors last year. According to a news release from the KHSAA, Stovall was named the National Federation of State High School Association Section 2 coach of the year for basketball. Stovall led Christian County to its first state championship last year and stepped down as coach after winning the title.
10th ranked Murray State defeated Morehead State 66-60 in Johnson Arena. The 19-0 Racers got 20 points from Isaiah Cannan in snapping a three game losing streak to the Eagles in Morehead. Murray State and Syracuse remain the only two unbeaten teams in Division One basketball. The Racers next face SIU-Edwardsville Saturday night.
Tennessee lost at Georgia 57-53 in overtime, with the Vols squandering a five point lead over the last five minutes of regulation and commiting a season high 20 turnovers.

The Tennessee Titans announced some restructuring in their front office Wednesday. General Manager Mike Reinfeldt has been named senior executive vice president and chief operating officer, while Ruston Webster has moved from vice president of player personnel to general manager, with Lake Dawson being promoted to vice president of player personnel.
The Nashville Predators wrap up a three game Eastern road swing in Columbus tonight against the Blue Jackets. First puck at Nationwide Arena drops at 6 pm.
The Tennessean reports the NHL is eyeing Bridgestone Arena as a future site of the NHL All Star game. NHL commissioner Gary Betteman says Nashville won’t be considered for the game until at least 2013, when most of the pieces are to be in place and the final chip—the Music City Center, currently under construction—is scheduled to be completed.
The Ohio Valley Conference has released its pre season poll, with Jacksonville State picked to win the league, UT Martin is picked third, Murray State 7th and Austin Peay is picked 10th.
