Two in town teams won tournament championships on Friday night.
The Hopkinsville Tigers defeated Dresden, TN 88-41 to take the championship of the Murray Bank Laker Classic. The Tigers return to action Tuesday night at Madisonville as part of a boy-girl doubleheader which you can hear with the Heritage Bank pre game show at 5:45 on NewsTalk 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP.
University Heights Lady Blazers won the Kentucky Country Day Holiday Invitational with a 73-50 win over Atherton. The Lady Blazers have won seven straight games heading into a Tuesday night matchup at Russellville.
Third ranked Kentucky and fourth ranked Louisville bring identical 12-1 records into their matchup today at Rupp Arena. Coverage of the game airs at 9:30 on Lite 98.7.
Elsewhere: Western Kentucky hosts Florida International, Austin Peay plays at Morehead State. In women's action, Austin Peay at Morehead State and Murray State plays at Southeast Missouri.
21st ranked Murray State remains unbeaten following a 73-40 win over Eastern Illinois. Reserve Stacy Wilson scored 16 points off the bench to lead the Racers in scoring.
Manhattan defeated Binghamton 94-51. Former Christian County standout Donovan Kates had 13 points off the bench for the Jaspers.
