Officials with the Compassionate Friends organization will be hosting their annual Candle Light Service and Potluck dinner next week for grieving families who have lost a child.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday December 10th, at 6:00 pm at The Christian County Baptist Association building, located at 905 North Drive.
Officials say bereaved parents, grandparents, siblings and their guests are invited to attend.
Officials say there will be a reading of the names of the children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters gone too soon, and a candle will be lit in their memory.
Attendees are asked to bring a side dish or dessert.

A retired teacher from the Christian County Public School District and long time Kiwanis Club member has passed away.
Funeral services for 83-year old Marion Adams will take place today at 3:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Hopkinsville.
Visitation is from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at First United Methodist Church.
Kiwanis Club members have been asked to serve as honorary pallbearers.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at Fairview Cemetery in Bowling Green.

A Bowling Green man was killed in a wreck Friday night and alcohol was thought to have been a factor.
Kentucky State Police say 25-year old Cory Kelly of Bowling Green was traveling on Plum Springs Road in Warren County around 8:15 when he crossed the center line and struck a vehicle driven by 27-year old Jenny Duvall of Brownsville head-on.
Kelly was pronounced dead on the scene, while Ms. Duvall and her passenger—51-year old Glenia Cline of Bowling Green—were taken by ambulance to the Medical Center in Bowling Green for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Kelly was not wearing his seatbelt and police say they believe he was under the influence of alcohol.
A Cadiz man avoided injury, but was charged with driving intoxicated after a wreck in Trigg County Saturday morning.
Sheriff Ray Burnam says Sgt. David King arrested 22-year old Cody Blick of Cadiz on charges of leaving the scene of an accident and DUI after Blick wrecked on Herndon Circle around 2:45 a.m.
A news release says it was his second DUI charge in the last five years.
