A single-vehicle motorcycle wreck on Clark Store-Sinking Fork Road Tuesday evening injured the biker.
The report from Christian County Sheriff’s Deputy Eddie Frye says the incident happened around 6pm when a deer ran into the path of a bike driven by 29-year old Kerry Lindsey of Dawson Springs Road.
Lindsey swerved to miss the animal and ran off the road—throwing him from the motorcycle. Lindsey, who was wearing a helmet, was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Two women were injured in a head-on collision in Marshall County early this morning.
A news release from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office says 32-year old Lannette Nieder of Grand Rivers was eastbound on U.S. 62 approaching Calvert City when she crossed the center line and hit a SUV driven by 19-year old Jessica Rogers of Paducah head-on.
Ms. Rogers had to be cut from the wreckage and was taken by ambulance to Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, while Ms. Nieder was flown by helicopter to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.
Both women were wearing seat belts and the incident remains under investigation.
The Christian County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of boat from a Dawson Springs Road business last week.
A 5-thousand dollar 1985 Procraft boat and trailer was stolen from Truck Country Auto Sales at 2936 Dawson Springs Road, according to the report, which says it was removed from an open garage.
No suspects are listed on the report.
A three-vehicle rear-end collision on Country Club Lane Tuesday injured one person.
The Hopkinsville Police report says the incident happened around 3:30pm near the intersection with South Sunset Circle when 26-year old Danny Combs and 38-year old Patrick Wells of Hopkinsville were stopped in traffic.
Approaching them from behind was 17-year old Joshua Johnson of Hopkinsville, who said he was shifting gears and didn’t see the two vehicles stopped in front of him in time to avoid hitting Wells in the rear.
The collision pushed Wells’ vehicle forward, causing his vehicle to hit Combs’ car. Johnson’s passenger, 16-year old Emily Davis of Hopkinsville, was taken by private vehicle to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of a wrist injury.
Hopkinsville Police are investigating after a large sum of cash was stolen from a dentistry office sometime in the last several months.
The report says $2,775 was stolen from the cash drawer at the front desk at Doctor Porter’s Dentist Office on Noel Avenue sometime between February 1st and Wednesday.
Two suspects are listed on the report and the investigation continues.
