The Logan County Sheriff’s Office wants to remind area residents to drive sober, or get pulled over this weekend.
The sheriff’s office along with state and local law enforcement agencies will be out in full force this holiday weekend looking for impaired drivers.
According to police, there have been 118 people killed in accidents involving alcohol this year in Kentucky.

An alleged vehicle burglar was caught red handed in Clarksville and is now booked into the Montgomery County Jail.
According to Clarksville Police, in the early morning hours of December 28th, 40-year old Scott Puckett allegedly witnessed two men walking past his house located on Old Timber Road and saw one of the men stop in his driveway and look inside one of his vehicles.
Clarksville Police Public Information Officer Jim Knoll says Puckett then confronted one of the suspects and caught the man after a brief physical altercation, which alerted the neighbors who heard the noise and called 911.
Police say Puckett was able to subdue the man until police arrived and once on the scene, police arrested and charged 18-year old Rafael Alves Quina of Dean Road, Clarksville with one count of vehicle burglary and is booked into the Montgomery County Jail on a $10,000 bond.

One candidate who will run for re-election for sure next year is 10th District State Representative Ben Waide of Madisonville.
The Madisonville Republican made it official with the Secretary of State’s Office today. Representative Waide won his first and only term in last year’s general election.
He represents a vast majority of Hopkins County, with 15th District Representative Brent Yonts of Greenville taking care of some of the far eastern parts.

A single-vehicle wreck on Crofton-Dawson Road yesterday morning injured a Cerulean man.
The incident happened around 10:30 about three miles west of Crofton. The report from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office says 66-year old James Hardy of Clark Store Road, Cerulean was westbound when he said he fell asleep and ran off the road into several trees.
Hardy was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart for treatment of his injuries.

More details have now been released on an incident near Lafayette Wednesday night, when a man threatened to kill his girlfriend and responding police officers.
The report says the suspect allegedly assaulted 28-year old Laruie Arbaugh by grabbing her around the throat and holding a gun to her head, while saying he would kill her.
Units from the Sheriff’s Office, Kentucky State Police and Hopkinsville Police would all respond shortly before 6pm and set up a perimeter around a field after the suspect ran there on foot.
The accused had been armed with a rifle and threatened to kill any police officer who showed up, but Sheriff’s Office spokesman Chris Miller says police believe his weapons have been accounted for.
The suspect remains at large and is wanted on Wanton Endangerment, Terroristic Threatening and Assault Charges. Captain Miller declined to release the suspect’s name.
