One of the four men allegedly involved in the armed robbery of A.C. Automotive in Hopkinsville last Monday was arrested earlier this week in Dickson, Tennessee.

The arrest card from the Dickson Police Department for 24-year old Henry Brown of 615 Richard St, Hopkinsville says he was arrested at an apartment complex on Valley View Drive in Dickson.

Dickson Police Officer Kirk Davidson writes Brown was hiding in a stair well when he arrived and that he came out with his hands up when told.

Police continue to search for 23-year old Justin Jorstead and 26-year old Christopher Walker. The suspects are accused of holding up A.C. Automotive on E. 9^th St. on the afternoon of January 30^th and later shooting at an Oak Grove Police Officer on the side of I-24 near the state line before running into a wood line.

The officer returned fire, but no one was hit in the incident.

A Cadiz man was arrested yesterday on drug trafficking charges.

Cadiz Police located 40-year old Leo Grubbs of 522 Cerulean Road around 12:45 pm on Main Street and served four indictment warrants for fist degree trafficking in a controlled substance charges.

The charges reportedly stemmed from a Kentucky State Police investigation.

The Hopkinsville City Council received a clean audit report from a local firm during tonight’s meeting.
John DeAngelis with York, Neal and Co. of Hopkinsville told council members the financial practices of officials were appropriate during this past fiscal year, which ended on June 30^th, 2011.

According to the report, the city had $26.9 million in assets and the city’s net assets increased $875,000, but net assets of business-type activities decreased by $36,000.

In addition, DeAngelis told council members the city’s governmental activities total debt decreased overall by $589,000.
The audit report also indicated that there were no material weaknesses or significant deficiencies found in financial statements or in federal awards.
DeAngelis gave the City of Hopkinsville a credit rating of AA-.
The council then went into closed session, but took no action concerning possible litigation.

Hopkinsville Community College President, Dr. Jim Selbe announced a major development in the college’s agriculture education program.
Dr. Selbe says the college recently purchased the old Yellow Ambulance building located at North Main Street and Talbert Drive to be the future site of a new agriculture technology building.
According to Selbe, the new facility will include a computer lab, a large area to house agricultural equipment and class-room and office space.
The HCC President says the building needs a lot of repairs and he says renovation work should be completed by next fall.
In addition, Dr. Selbe says the purchase of the building was the apart of the college’s 50-year vision plan, which includes: service to agriculture, service to the military and to be a center for teaching excellence.

The Christian County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the hiring of Kensley McLellan as the new Director of Military Affairs.

According to Chamber officials, McLellan holds a Masters Degree and Undergraduate Degree from the University of Tennessee with majors in Marketing and Advertising and Human Resources Management.
McLellan’s first day of employment will be Monday, February 20^th and she was quoted as saying she is excited to work for the chamber and that she would work tirelessly to uphold the standard of excellence at the Military Affairs Committee and at the Chamber.
The military spouse replaces Kelly Pendleton, who recently resigned from the position to pursue another job opportunity.
