A Clarksville woman who isn’t old enough to buy alcohol was arrested for her second DUI in a week over the weekend.
Clarksville Police pulled over 20-year old Jessica Fugate on I-24 near the 1 mile-marker around 2am Friday morning after dispatch received a call about a driver headed west in the eastbound lanes.
Fugate reportedly told Clarksville Police she didn’t know she was driving the wrong direction and that she believed she was near the 20 mile-marker. She allegedly failed field sobriety tests and was arrested and charged with DUI.
Police say she had been arrested only six nights earlier for another DUI charge.

The Hopkinsville Police report says 68-year old Edward Moore of Hopkinsville was eastbound near the Lafayette Road intersection just before 11am when he fell asleep or blacked out. Moore’s vehicle drifted off the road and struck a home at 203 Country Club owned by Patsy Kennedy of Hopkinsville.
Moore initially refused treatment on the scene, but would be taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center after he started feeling chest pains. No one in the home was injured in the incident.

A local man was injured in a wreck on East 9th Street early Saturday morning and was cited into court on DUI charges.
The incident happened around ten minutes after four, according to the Hopkinsville Police report, which says 32-year old Gene Woods Jr. of Hopkinsville was eastbound on 9th, going about 35 miles per hour.
Woods told officers he had been texting while driving and that when he looked up, he was about to run off the road. Woods also allegedly admitted to drinking about a half pint of alcohol several hours earlier.
Officer Jerry Marcum found Woods unconscious in his vehicle, which had hit a utility pole, when he arrived. The car was still in drive, but the motor had died.
Police charged Woods with DUI, but he was only cited into court due to his injuries. Woods was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center and the report says he had not been wearing his seat belt.
