Clarksville Police are continuing to ask for the public’s help in locating a missing Kenwood Middle School Student.

15-year old Sierra Nicole Simpson of 1346 Chucker Drive was last seen at the end of the school day Thursday outside of Kenwood High and has not been seen or heard from since.

She is 5’1, 115 lbs, with blonde hair and blue eyes and has noticeable acne. Police say there have been several calls about sightings of the girl, but officers have not been able to substantiate them.

A news release also says there are no indications of an abduction or foul play. Simpson was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black tank top and a Metallica hoodie.

A Fort Campbell soldier is accused of fatally shooting another soldier and injuring a Clarksville Police Officer Thursday.
According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, 26-year old Benjamin Schweitzer barricaded himself in a bedroom after he reportedly shot another Fort Campbell soldier, now identified as Frederick Nicholas Moses multiple times.
Moses reportedly died from his injuries shortly after the shooting that took place Thursday morning near Quick Silver Court.
Following the shooting, Clarksville Police Officer James Eure was shot by Schweitzer after responding to a report of shots being fired in the area.
The condition of Officer Eure has not been released at this time, but it’s believed Officer Eure sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Schweitzer was booked into the Montgomery County Jail this morning and is charged with one count of homicide and is being held without bond.
The Fort Campbell soldier is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on March 26^th at 1:30 p.m. in Montgomery County.

A Christian County Public School Principal has been selected to serve on the Superintendent Screening Committee during the search of a new Superintendent.
The Principal Representative on the Superintendent Screening Committee will be  Hopkinsville High School Principal Demetria Choice.
CCPS Spokesperson Heather Aubin says Choice was nominated today during a regularly scheduled administrator’s meeting that was held in the board room of he Christian County Board of Education.
According to Aubin, only head Principals of each schools were given the chance to nominate and then vote for the Principal to serve on the Screening Committee.
Officials hope to have a new Superintendent hired and in place by June 22^nd.
Choice will join Christian County Board of Education Chairman Barry Cornelius, who was unanimously appointed to serve on the committee during a recent school board meeting.

The Christian County Grand Jury indicted 11 people today for various charges including sexual abuse of a minor, burglary and trafficking in a controlled substance.
The Grand Jury indicted 63-year old Samuel Hancock of Binns Mill Road, Herndon for 1^st degree sexual abuse after he allegedly forced a minor to engage in sexual activity with him on December 3^rd, 2011.
Meanwhile, 53-year old Archie Yates of Catlettsburg, Kentucky was indicted by the Grand Jury for 1^st degree rape, two counts of 1^st degree sodomy involving a victim under the age of 12 years old, two counts of 1^st degree sexual abuse for allegedly forcing a minor to engage in sexual activity on two separate occasions and engaged in deviate sexual intercourse with two minors under the age of 12 years old sometime last year.
The Grand Jury also indicted 35-year old Lisa Loving of North Street, Hopkinsville for 2ns degree burglary and knowingly receiving stolen property over $500.
According to her indictment, Loving knowingly possessed eight boxes of stolen vinyl siding worth over $500 and unlawfully entered a Grand Orchard residence with the intent to commit a crime in January.
25-year old Ian Murphy of Dale Terrace, Clarksville and 22-year old Robert Cotton III were both indicted by the Christian County Grand Jury for trafficking in a controlled substance.

Kentucky State Police released further details about the wreck that took place on KY 189 where a Hopkinsville Police Officer is being credited for saving the life of a teen driver.
According to State Police the two-vehicle injury wreck happened about one mile south of Greenville at approximately 8:35 a.m.
Preliminary investigation reveals that 49-year old Kenneth Haskill of Greenville was driving southbound on KY 189 and 16-year old Zachary Morris of Greenville was driving northbound on KY 189 when Haskill’s vehicle crossed the center line and struck Morris’s vehicle head-on. 
Haskill was reportedly transported by ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment and Morris was flown from the scene to Deaconess in Evansville , Indiana for treatment after he was pulled from his burning vehicle by Hopkinsville Police Officer Shannon-White Tinsley.
The Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Department, Greenville Fire Department, Muhlenberg County EMS , and PHI Air Medical assisted at the scene.
