Wild life poaching continues to be a major problem
Wild life poaching continues to be a problem for the Kentucky and Tennessee Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources Agencies.
Sergeant James Nason of the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources Agency, Officer Dale Grandstaff and Officer Mike Murdock of Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency conducted a joint investigation recently and confiscated a prized deer carcass, a deer stand and a compound bow after they received a tip about two people, who allegedly hunted a deer without a license.
Sergeant Nason of Pembroke determined on Monday two men from Springfield, Tennessee conspired to hunt deer illegally in Christian County, which resulted in the illegal harvest of a trophy buck.
According to Sergeant Nason poaching wild life happens too often in Christian County and he says illegal deer hunting is a serious criminal offense.
The deer was reportedly hunted in the area of Stripped Bridge Road and both men were cited to appear in court for non-resident hunting without licenses and permits, illegal use of a license and falsely reporting an incident.

Fort Campbell officials condemn hazing
In lieu of reported cases of hazing within the military, specifically at an Air Force Academy that made national headlines recently, the Army Chief of Staff, Raymond Odierno sent an Army-wide letter to active duty soldiers, condemning such behavior.
Fort Campbell Public Affairs Director Bob Jenkins says senior leaders at the local post take the issue seriously and the behavior will not be tolerated.
The Public Affairs Director says there have been no reported cases of hazing at Fort Campbell.

Escaped inmate arrested in Hopkinsville
A Hopkins County Jail inmate who escaped from a community service detail last night was found and arrested in Hopkinsville this morning.
A member of the public called the ECC around 9:30 this morning reporting she had seen 32-year old escaped inmate Keith Allen Stafford of Madisonville near the car wash on Clinic Drive just behind the Max Fuel Express.
Stafford had been sought since about 10pm, when he walked away from the detail. Stafford was serving a 120 day sentence for misdemeanor assault and was scheduled for release on March 30th.
Hopkinsville Police set up a perimeter around the area of the car wash and nearby stores until a police K9 was able to find Stafford around 10:40. Police arrested Stafford and he was to be taken back to Hopkins County.

HPD investigating stolen Harley
Hopkinsville Police are investigating the theft of a Harley Davidson Motorcycle from a Clay St. address.
The report says Donald Brummett of Crofton told Police the theft happened sometime between Sunday morning at 2 and Tuesday evening at 6. Someone pried open the door of American Warriors Clubhouse at 807 S. Clay and took the $8,500 1996 Harley Davidson Softail Custom.
The perpetrator did $250 in damage to the door and also stole a black leather vest.
