Clarksville PD investigates shooting, robbery

There has been yet another shooting in the area, with Clarksville Police investigating this time.

A news release says officers were called to the Gateway Medical Center Emergency Room in reference to a robbery at the intersection of Gracey Avenue and Woodard Street around 7pm Wednesday night.

Two men were robbed at gunpoint in a car after stopping at the intersection, with one of the two male perpetrators firing a shot into the vehicle while fleeing after receiving cash.

The 31-year old gunshot victim was taken to Gateway and later airlifted to a Nashville hospital, where he’s listed in stable condition. Police say the victim was not forthcoming with information and did not want to file a police report.

Large Christmas decoration stolen from front yard

There’s no word on whether or not the Grinch was involved, but someone stole a very large Christmas decoration out of a Hopkinsville man’s yard Wednesday.

Hopkinsville Police were called to East Parkview Drive just before 6:30 pm, where Reinaldo Villafane told officers someone had taken a 9 foot inflatable snowman from his front yard.

He told police he doesn’t know who would be so cold as to steal such an item, and there are no suspects listed on the report.

Two Fulton County inmates escape from jail

A man hunt is underway for two inmates who escaped from the Fulton County Detention Center earlier today.

According to Kentucky State Police, 39-year old Bradley Allen Nichols and 19-year old Michael Shane Reynolds escaped while en route to a work detail in Hickman, Kentucky just before 6:15 a.m.

State Police say a red 2005 Chevy Equinox with a Kentucky license plate tag of 952-GWY was reported stolen shortly after the escape at the Little General convenience store in Hickman.

Nichols is described as a 5-foot 10, white male, with a shaved head and hazel eyes and weighs about 170 pounds and was last seen wearing a brown corduroy hat and coat, light colored jeans, and black boots and was incarcerated for drug charges and bail jumping.

The 39-year old inmate is originally from Aberdeen, Ohio.

Meanwhile, Reynolds is described as a 5-foot-10, white male, with blonde hair and blue eyes and weighs about 165 pounds.

Reynolds was last seen wearing black Nike shoes, a black hooded sweatshirt over a grey t-shirt, a black sock cap, designer blue jeans and was incarcerated for theft.

The 19-year old is originally from Lewisburg, Kentucky.

Hopkinsville man cited to appear in court for drug offenses

25-year old Kyonte Lamar Lock is charged with trafficking in marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.

According to Hopkinsville Police, officers received a tip today about illegal narcotic activity at a 510 West 7th Street apartment.

While on the scene, officers noticed the front door of the residence open and a strong odor of marijuana coming from the home and when officers obtained a search warrant for Lock, officers found a large amount of marijuana and plastic bags that were cut and twisted consistent to trafficking drugs.

During a search of the residence, officers also found scales and several marijuana cigars through out the home.

Lock reportedly admitted to police all the illegal drugs at the apartment was his after officers searched the residence and field tested the suspected drug.

Christian County Sheriff's Office investigating stalking report

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an alleged case of stalking.

40-year old Daphne Rennison of 590 Gary Lane told deputies Tuesday that a 21-year old male acquaintance has placed nails at the end of her driveway on several occasions as well as making threatening phone calls to her between Saturday and Monday.

According to Rennison, since June the male acquaintance has been calling her, driving by her house and sitting in her driveway.

In a recent incident, Rennison says he has sent her a text message saying that a gun was stolen and that if someone was shot with it, it wouldn’t come back on him.

The case remains open according to sheriff’s deputies and no arrests have been made.
