Three suspects were arrested after Hopkinsville Police responded to a burglary in progress on North Jessup St. yesterday.

Officers responded to 103 N Jessup around 12:30 and found three suspects in a white van attempting to drive away from the scene. Officer Robert Sibal writes 42-year old Michael Edwards of Hopkinsville was a passenger and attempted to immediately run from the vehicle to get away.

A foot pursuit would soon lead to his arrest on burglary, fleeing from police, resisting arrest and criminal littering charges.

Also in the vehicle was 48-year old Diana Vinson of Hopkinsville who was allegedly driving the van and who was charged with burglary and disorderly conduct charges.

48-year old William Davis, Jr. of Hopkinsville was charged with complicity to burglary for allegedly helping in the commission of the crime, but isn’t accused of ever going inside.

Police say the home belonged to the mother of Michael Edwards and that Edwards was going to sell two end tables to Davis.
