The Hopkinsville Police Department is investigating a burglary at a West Edmunds St. home from Friday.
The report says 32-year old Brandee Austin of Hopkinsville told officers someone broke into her home at 327 West Edmunds between 9am and 4:30pm Friday and stole a $1,500 Samsung television.
Police say it appears the suspect kicked or pried his way into the home and the investigation continues.

Clarksville Police are investigating a shooting from early this morning.
The incident happened around ten minutes after four at a private club on College St. called “Cutters,” according to a news release from Clarksville Police, which says a 27-year old man was found lying on the floor near the front entrance when officers arrived.
Police say the man had been shot in the back and that the victim and several witnesses were uncooperative with the investigation. The victim was taken by helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in stable condition and the investigation continues. ** 04/29/2012/am |

Police in Clarksville now have a named suspect in connection with an incident at Khols last week when an alleged thief struck an employee with his vehicle as he drove away.
A news release says thanks to efforts by the media in getting the photo out, a member of the public identified the suspect as 21-year old Troy Devon Tyson of Nashville.
Tyson is wanted for reckless endangerment and evading police. The Kohls employee was struck by Tyson’s door as he drove away from the store with merchandise, though he avoided serious injury.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in finding the suspect responsible for a major theft there last week.
A news release from Sheriff Wallace Whitaker’s office says someone used a universal key to drive off with a 25-thousand dollar New Holland Skid Steer at 659 Cates Bypass Road between 10pm Wednesday night and 9am Thursday morning.

Warrants alleging sexual abuse have been served on a Hopkinsville man.
Taken into custody early Friday and facing eight counts of sexual abuse and one count of sexual misconduct was 49-year old Rogelio Juarez of Hopkinsville, with the victim listed as someone under the age of 12.
