The man charged with Murder and DUI in connection with a fatal wreck on Interstate 24 in Christian County Thursday morning was arraigned in Christian District Court this morning.
A not guilty plea was entered on behalf of 54-year old Timothy Baldwin of Monticello, Minnesota. Baldwin was driving a tractor trailer westbound on I-24 around 11:20 am Thursday when he rear-ended a vehicle operated by 69-year old Harold Johnson of Colorado Springs, Colorado near the 89 mile-marker in the Oak Grove area.
Johnson died at Gateway Medical Center. His wife, 68-year old Louise Johnson, was treated for her injuries at Gateway.
The court appointed a public defender for Baldwin and he remains in the Christian County Jail on $105,000 bond. He is charged with Murder, DUI, Wanton Endangerment, Fleeing from Police, and Resisting Arrest. The investigation continues by Kentucky State Police.
