Two Skyline Drive pawn shops are out a combined $1,500 after someone was able to sell them cheap jewelry at an expensive price last week.
Both incidents happened Thursday, but weren't reported until yesterday. The first happened at Glory Guns and Pawn Shop at 1194 Skyline between 1 and 5pm Thursday, when a listed suspect pawned a bracelet for $600 that turned out to be imitation jewelry.
Sometime between 5 and 6 pm, a listed suspect pawned a gold link chain at Echo Pawn Shop for $900. Both incidents are classified as “theft by deception” investigations, according to the report from Officer Justin Rios.
