More details have been released on the Friday afternoon accident involving a bus carrying the Union County High School softball team.
A news release from Kentucky State Police says the bus was carrying 21 students and four adults on U.S. 60 in Livingston County about three miles east of Smithland. The driver, 49-year old Robin Black of Sturgis, ran off the right side of the road and over-corrected, crossing both lanes and running off the eastbound shoulder.
The bus overturned, injuring everyone inside. KSP says none of the injuries were thought to be life-threatening and that Ms. Black was treated and released. All of the students were taken to the two Paducah hospitals. The team had been on its way to face Livingston Central High School.
