The former director of the Aaaron McNeil House convicted of theft charges was sentenced in Christian Circuit Court this week and the new director says procedures have been put into place to ensure the integrity of the agency going forward.
Former Executive Director Paula Russell was sentenced to 10 years in prison on theft by deception charges. Current Director Kurt Anderson says the agency is “very glad to see the prosecution and sentencing of its former director.”
He says the Administrative Board “agrees this has been quite a learning experience,” and that “as a result, new controls have been put in place, assuring this type of situation does not reoccur.”
Anderson says the Aaron McNeil House is thankful for continued support from the United Way, local churches, civic organizations and local governmental agencies. He says it is because of them that the desperate and hungry of the community have seen continued aid and assistance.
