Thanks to the City of Hopkinsville’s Home Improvement Program, a local residence in poor condition was torn down and then rebuilt.
Mayor Dan Kemp this afternoon presented keys to the newly built home of Larry and Glamor Lacey at 307 West Edmonds Street.
The local couple’s previous home was demolished and then rebuilt on the same site through a partnership between the Christian County-Hopkinsville Development Corporation and the City of Hopkinsville.
After walking through the entire house, Mr. Lacey wanted to thank everyone that was involved in rebuilding his home.
Officials say the project utilized both Kentucky Housing Corporation GAP Financing Pool funds and Community Development Block Grant funds.
Outlaw Contracting Company, Inc. was responsible for the demolition of the original residence and construction of the new home was completed by Jerry’s Home Improvement.
