A Cadiz man was arrested on multiple charges yesterday after a vehicle and foot pursuit that ended near Little River in Trigg County.
A news release from the Cadiz Police Department says Officer Scott Brown observed 22-year old Carloss Bush of Eddyville Road, Cadiz allegedly driving erratic on Main Street and that he failed to use a turn signal when turning onto Cunningham Avenue.
Officer Brown stopped the vehicle on North Anna Street, but Bush allegedly sped off when the officer approached him. Bush allegedly circled onto Cunningham back to North Anna and reached speeds of up to 80 miles per hour.
Bush allegedly drove through the front yard at 322 Shelby Street and then through a fence, before coming to rest in a wooded area. Officer Brown, Deputy Mark Nichols and Kentucky State Trooper Nathan Clinkenbeard were able to apprehend Bush in the woods near Little River about a half mile from his vehicle.
Bush is charged with DUI, fleeing from police, wanton endangerment, criminal mischief and several traffic violatoins. His blood alcohol content registered .153 after the arrest—almost two times the legal limit.
