A two-vehicle rollover wreck on North Main Street Saturday afternoon injured two Cadiz women.
The Hopkinsville Police report says the incident happened around 12:15 at the intersection with Talbert Drive. Police say 17-year old Robert Owen of Crofton was attempting to turn left off Talbert onto North Main and failed to yield the right of way to a southbound vehicle driven by 76-year old Ingeborg Thomas of Cadiz.
Owen's car clipped the rear of Thomas' vehicle, causing it to spin out of control before rolling over onto its top. Ms. Thomas and a passenger—79-year old Nina Alderson of Cadiz—were both taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of multiple injuries. Two other passengers, 56-year old Frank Alderson and 58-year old Terri Anderson of Ohio, went uninjured.
Owen was also not hurt and said he didn't see the oncoming vehicle before proceeding into the intersection. Everyone involved was wearing a seat belt.
