Cadiz Police say their emphasis on enforcing the drop-off policy at the schools on Main Street is paying off with less traffic tie-ups.
A post on the Cadiz Police Facebook page says they want to thank parents and grandparents who are adhering to the school drop-off policy and using the designated drop-off areas in the mornings and afternoons.
The department warned residents they would be placing an extra emphasis on the drop-off policies before spring break. They say the time it takes to get from Trigg County Hospital west to downtown Cadiz has in the mornings has reduced from 7 to 9 minutes before spring break to about three minutes now.
Cadiz Police also remind residents the speed limit in the school zone is 25 miles per hour when the yellow lights are flashing in the mornings and afternoons.
