This year’s WHOP’er of an Egg Hunt is coming up Saturday morning and the usual large crowds and sudden conclusions are expected.
Egg hunters will be broken up into age groups and there is also a hunt for special needs children. The hunts begin at 11am, but Pam Rudd of the Hopkinsville-Christian County Recreation Department urges parents to get youngsters there much earlier than that and to bring a basket or bag to collect the eggs.
Ms. Rudd says Tie Breaker Park is an ideal location to host the egg hunt because of the fenced in softball fields that can be designated for the separate hunts.
Approximately 20,000 eggs will be dispersed and all that’s needed to participate is a free hunter’s license that can be picked up at Joey Bastin Optical, Godfather's Pizza, Pound Chiropractic, Superlawn and Garden, Christian County Chamber of Commerce, Ice Cream and Sandwich Shoppe, Sassystuff Consignment, IGA and Bradford Square Mall.
