Since news broke that the Christian County Animal Shelter sustained severe damages to its building as a result of a fire on Monday, area residents have stepped up to plate to help the local animal shelter in any way.
Shelter Director Irene Grace gave an update about the amount of animals up for fostering or adoption.
Ms. Grace says she is still overwhelmed by the public’s generosity following Monday’s fire.
Ms. Grace also spoke about reconstruction efforts and how it’s quickly coming along.
After being disconnected for a few days, the local animal shelter’s phone line is now operational and residents are encouraged to call 270-887-4175 for more information about the shelter’s needs or inquiries on how to donate to the local shelter located off of Russellville Road.
