A Hopkinsville resident appeared during a recent city council meeting to express her concerns about the lack of ambulances in the community, a situation she was made aware of after a family member needed medical attention.
During the public comment portion of the meeting, Burney Futtrell of Nelson Drive told city council members that she wished there were more ambulances serving the community.
Ms. Futtrell explained why she felt that there is a need for more ambulances in the community.
City council took her recommendation into consideration with the mayor saying he would check into the matter.
Area residents are always welcome to voice their comments, concerns or praise by attending a city council or committee of the whole meeting, which are both held each month at the Lackey Municipal Center.
