Hopkinsville man charged with child sex crime

Kentucky State Police arrested a Hopkinsville man Wednesday afternoon who is accused of engaging in sexual activity with a child.

A news release from KSP says an investigation began Sunday after police learned of possible sexual activity between 62-year old John Bravard of Hopkinsville and an under-age victim.

Troopers and detectives conducted a traffic stop on Bravard’s vehicle on West Center Street in Madisonville around 5 p.m. Wednesday and took him into custody. He was lodged in the Hopkins County Jail on one count of unlawful use of electronic means to induce a minor to engage in sexual activity.
