A Clarksville man was indicted by the March 2013 Grand Jury for 1st Degree Murder.

29-year old Jocobi Pender was indicted following an investigation into the death of Pender’s 5-month old child at 3735 Fox Hole Drive.

Clarksville Police say when officers arrived on the scene, the infant was already removed from the residence by emergency responders and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the residence was then cordoned off and an investigation into the unattended death was initiated, which police say is standard procedure.

Police say as the investigation proceeded, it was determined to be a homicide and Pender was established as a suspect.

Pender was booked into Montgomery County Jail on a $150,000 bond and is charged with 1st Degree Murder.
