Ten died on Ky. roads last week

Preliminary statistics released by Kentucky State Police indicates that 10 people died in 9 separate wrecks on Kentucky roadways from Monday, March 4th through Sunday.

State Police report that single fatality motor vehicle crashes occurred in Ballard, Hopkins, Laurel and Letcher Counties.

State Police say the victims in Ballard, Hopkins, Grayson, Laurel and Letcher Counties were not wearing seat belts and the fatal wrecks in Hopkins and Ballard Counties involved the suspected use of alcohol.

Through Sunday, preliminary statistics indicate that 98 people have lost their lives on Kentucky roadways since January, which is 28 less than what was reported for the same time period last year.
