Glass Doors Solutions is one step closer to bringing much-needed jobs to Todd County after the Pennyrile Area Development District Board of Directors approved a loan for the industry Monday afternoon.
The industry could open up in Elkton with approximately 70 new jobs at startup within the next few months. South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council Director Mitch Robinson says the $250,000 loan made by PADD is just another step toward bringing Glass Door Solutions to Todd County.
Director of Community Development Amy Frogue says Glass Door Solutions could hire as many as 110 employees over the next few years.
The money was borrowed at a four percent interest rate over a 10 year term. It will reportedly be used to purchase equipment. Employees are expected to earn an average of $16 per hour at Glass Door Solutions, if all goes as planned.
