Neighborhood watch programs have proven to be effective in Christian and surrounding counties and anyone wishing to join an existing group or to start a new program can attend a free training session this weekend.

The Pennyrile Regional Citizens Corps Council and Christian County Sheriff’s Office will combine forces to offer the training Saturday evening from 5 until 7:30 at Kelly Baptist Church on Madisonville Road.

All Christian County residents with an interest in Neighborhood watch are invited to attend and a dinner of soup and a sandwich will be provided. There will also be drawing for door prizes and Christian County Sheriff’s Captain Chris Miller will be the training presenter.
