101st Airborne Division to host Honor Eagle ceremony

The 101st Airborne Division will be conducting a ceremony tomorrow morning to welcome a senior leader.

101st Commanding General, Major General James McConville will be hosting an Honor Eagle ceremony to officially welcome Brigadier General, Mark Stammer as the acting senior commander of the division.

Brigadier General Stammers joins the division from Fort Bliss, Texas, where he served as the Joint Task Force North Commander.

A native of Redfield, South Dakota Stammer enlisted in the Army in 1982 and served at Fort Benning, Georgia and Fort Hood, Texas, after which he was honorably discharged in January 1985 to attend the University of Houston.
