A bomb threat has been called into a Fort Campbell elementary school this morning.

Military officials say in accordance with established procedures, Barsanti Elementary School children were immediately and safely evacuated due to an alleged bomb threat.

Officials say the students are currently located at the School Aged Services Building, located near Gate 10 as a precaution.

Law enforcement officials were immediately dispatched and parents of the students have been notified.

Parents are allowed to pick-up their children at this time from S-A-S and students who have not been picked up will be bussed to lunch at another school.

When the building is cleared by law enforcement personnel the students will be returned to Barsanti.

Officials say the safety is absolutely paramount and that these types of incidents will always be handled in a urgent and professional manner.
