Industry could bring 70 jobs to Todd County

Several dozen jobs could soon be coming to Todd County as an industry is considering locating near Elkton.

Todd Fiscal Court met in special session Friday morning and approved a twenty thousand dollar contribution to the Todd County Industrial Foundation to be utilized as an incentive for a prospective industry.

Eston Glover of the Industrial Foundation says there is an industry seriously considering the Elkton area and the money will help them with some of the associated costs of getting started.



Glover says the industry would bring approximately 70 jobs at startup, which could come later this year.


It’s still not s sure thing the industry will come to Todd County, but Glover and others said the action by Fiscal Court could go a long way toward making it happen. No other action was taken during the special-called meeting.
