The Todd County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted on methamphetamine charges.

Todd County Sheriff Joey Johnson says he attempted to serve a warrant on 24-year old Josh Phillips of Elkton Tuesday on Lawson Hester Road, but that Phillips allegedly tried to get away from police in his vehicle. A short chase ensued until Phillps left the roadway and got his vehicle stuck.

Phillips and 28-year old John Morgan of Russellville allegedly got out of the vehicle and fled on foot, though a Kentucky State Police K9 unit helped locate and apprehend Morgan.

Sheriff Johnson says a meth lab was found in the vehicle and that Morgan was arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine ingredients and fleeing from police.

Phillips was able to get away and is wanted on those charges and possible additional charges. Anyone knowing his whereabouts should call the Todd County Sheriff’s Office at 270-265-9966.
