Murray Police offering Citizens' Police Academy

The Murray Police Department is inviting the public to participate in another Citizens’ Police Academy.

The academy is a 8-week course and will be held Monday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. in May and June.

The Citizens’ Police Academy is a free program where residents can learn more about police work in general.

Organizers say topics will include: 911 communications, narcotics investigation, criminal investigations, D-U-I enforcement, traffic accident investigations, and other parts of the criminal justice system including corrections and courtroom procedures.
