Man killed in Hopkins County wreck
A Fayette County man was killed in a single-vehicle wreck in Hopkins County Saturday morning.
A news release from Hopkins County Sheriff’s Deputy Scott Troutman says the 30-year old Lexington man had been northbound on I-69 near the 99 mile-marker around 6:10 when he ran off the right side of the road for unknown reasons and struck a guard rail head-on.
The man was pronounced dead on the scene by Hopkins County Coroner Dennis Mayfield. The name of the victim is being withheld, pending family notification.
