Lt. Gov. Abramson to decide political future by end of year

ABRAMSON

Kentucky Lieutenant Governor Jerry Abramson admits he’s considering a run for Governor in two years, but he hasn’t made a final decision.

The former Louisville mayor had said it might be next year before he decided on his political future, but now says he’ll make his intention public by the end of this calendar year.

Abramson has ruled out a run for the U.S. Senate against Senator Mitch McConnell, but he believes actress Ashley Judd or whomever the Democrats put up will have a better chance to win than anyone in recent history.

This is Abramson’s first term as Lieutenant Governor under Governor Steve Beshear, who isn’t eligible to run for another term in two years.
