Two people were injured in a head-on collision on Russellville Road early yesterday morning in Hopkinsville.

The report from Hopkinsville Police Officer Daniel Gray says 43-year old Wanda Redd of Hopkinsville was traveling east in the westbound lane attempting to turn into the lot of Western State Hospital around 6:40am.

22-year old Justin Jones of Hopkinsville was westbound and was unable to avoid hitting Ms. Redd head-on.

Police say Ms. Redd didn’t remember the accident when they arrived on the scene and she was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center. A passenger of Jones, 21-year old Cora Rains of Pembroke, was also taken to the hospital by ambulance. Everyone involved was wearing a seat belt.
